Royal Mail promises to pull all the levers after pre-tax profits halve

New boss Rico Back says he is looking at structure, spending and new ways to deliver letters
Royal Mail‘s new chief executive has promised action to boost the group’s performance including a review of its UK postal network as it revealed that first-half profits had more than halved.Rico Back, who has come under increasing pressure since being handed the top job in June, said the company was examining its organisational structure, management roles, investment spending and central costs, amid an ongoing decline in sending of letters.
